Lass to Lady
Hi girls! Your Mom wants you to learn about your body. ELCH! Right? Well, it doesn’t have to be gross or embarrassing. In fact, learning about yourself can be like a treasure of jewels with many facets and mysteries that you get to uncover every month and year!
Join me on this journey to learning about YOU. We use plain and easy to understand words. We will even play games and have fun!
Our Approach
Lass to Lady is a welcoming class for girls ages 8-12 and their moms. Topics we will cover include: basic female reproductive organs, hormones, cycle length, history and various cultural information, tools and supplies, how to celebrate womanhood, how to balance the shifting emotions, how to appreciate our body, remedies helpful for PMS, good nutrition and more!
Review:
“Not just a blessing for the girls but also for us – the Mother! I learned more than a thing or two. I am also grateful for the openness the girls had in asking what was on their minds. I forgot what it was like pre-menstruation. (This Class) has been a launch for several candid conversations my daughter and I have had since our first class.” (mother of attendee)

Description text goes hereDear Parent,
I’m looking forward to the opportunity to spend time with you and your daughter in our upcoming class focused on understanding the physical and emotional changes that occur during puberty. My goal is to create a supportive, respectful, and medically accurate environment where girls feel informed, confident, and at ease with the changes happening in their bodies.
This class is designed to provide age-appropriate education centered on female development. We will cover topics such as:
The stages of puberty and what to expect
Hormonal changes and how they affect the body and emotions
Menstrual cycles and practical guidance for managing periods
Hygiene, body care, and self-awareness
Building a positive and respectful relationship with one’s body
I want to be very clear and reassuring about the scope of this class. We will not be discussing topics such as masturbation, sexual activity, gender identity or preferences, dating, kissing, or male anatomy. The focus remains on helping girls understand their own bodies in a way that is appropriate, educational, and grounded in medical knowledge.
I understand that conversations around puberty can feel sensitive, and every family approaches these topics differently. This class is intended to support—not replace—your role in guiding your daughter. I aim to provide a foundation of clear, factual information so that you can continue these conversations at home in a way that aligns with your family’s values.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss the content further before the class, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I want you to feel completely comfortable and confident in what your daughter will be learning.
Warmly,
Sabrina Yoder, APRN
